Price of Propane for the grill ???

I just got back from filling my 20 gal propane tank...3 &1/2 gallons or 20 pounds...for $18.68...how does that compare with other prices....45 miles East of Atlanta, GA....I think it is high....but the exchange tanks at the convenience stores only give you 15 pounds for $20.22....so it's the best I can find....I'd sure like to know if this is a fair price compared to others.

Hey Bob, I paid about the same at the local Ace hardware (Forsyth County, GA), but I did ask at Tractor Supply (Canton) and they do 'em for about $10 each (as of 3 weeks ago)...pretty big difference percentage-wise. I've got 3 empties that I will be toting to TSC soon.

Now couple of years ago in middle of farm country of Texas r.v. ran low of propane and took to farm store he charged $20 for both tanks. handed him a $100.00 bill .
He turned it over and studied it then back to front side looked then with grin said Mr. your are in farm country and I don't see much cash.
also don't have that much change on hand. so gave him a credit card for payment.

Ahh, Jay, I wish I'd have known that ...I filled 3 tanks today at that $18 price...geeez, I wonder if that is all TSC's ? I don't ever remember seeing any propane at our TSC...it is in a corner unit of a shopping center so I bet they don't have one...I will sure check..thanks for the heads up...that is like 1/2 price.

Bob that is pretty much same as here i have same tank and cost $18 and change to fill up.
