Andy H., Thanks for all the info. Definately helpful. I think I'm going to make an offer, buy the 1220 and try it out for a couple weeks while I hang on to my Massey 135. If I loke it, I'll keep it, if not, I'll try to sell it and hopefully not take a big "hit"($$). Thanks again.David R.

DavidR: Glad to help. One other point I forgot to mention, which would be relevant since you mentioned the unit you're considering had a loader: you might want to find out whether this 1220 has a separate power steering pump. When I got mine (1991), they were still using a single hydraulic pump for both steering and the other hydraulics. While it's fine most of the time, I do find that I lose almost all the power steering assistance at slow speeds when using the loader at full capacity. Ford/NH eventually added a separate steering pump to the 1220, but I'm not sure just when (1993?) Good luck, whatever you decide.
