I've located a 47" snowblower with all the pieces to mount on a 2305. It looks like everything is there including the hydraulic chute control. Judging from the paint condition it doesn't look it was used very much. The asking price is $2000.

Not knowing the new price of this snowblower I'm not sure if this is a good deal or not. Can anyone give me an idea if this is a good price or not?

Thanks,

Nick

That sounds like a good price, the new one's are 3K plus...

Go to the "build your own" section on the JD website to see the retail prices.

Depending on if it comes with the quick hitch it is a pretty good price. I got a price from a dealer in Iowa for $2100 and some change in a box not put together. I am having a new one delivered tomorrow from a local dealer put together for $2100 but I am trading my 54" plow/hydraulic tilt cylinder in for it. I know the salesman and it isn't too bad considering they are putting it together and installing it. If it looks good, I wouldn't walk away from it. Usually they are pretty hard to come by that still look good. Brand new I think run a little over $2400 without the quick hitch.

The price includes the quick hitch so it sounds like a reasonable deal.

Thanks for the feedback.

Don't forget that there is a required kit for the
front of the tractor that you may or may not get
from the prior owner. It's a set of mounting plates
that bolt to the frame of the tractor, but they do
not come with any of the snowblower parts and are
always forgot about!
LVB25396 I believe is the number, but if
you get a couple of bolt on plates for the
front of the tractor frame from the prior
owner you should be all set.
the price sounds fair... they are not all
that easy to come by, especially with the
mount and hitch components specific to your
tractor.

I'd keep the plow:
& Buy the blower outrite.

You can't do stuff like this with a blower !

I purchased the unit but the plates that you mentioned were not with it. I got this unit from a small equipment dealer and he no longer had the tractor that this blower was on. I'm sure that those plates are still on that tractor, wherever it is now.

Thanks for telling me about those pieces, you save me some head scratching time when I go to put this on.

I'll order the plates from the local Deere dealer.
