Forks Price question - how much should a 3 pt hitch pallet fork set uo cost? New - Used?

Google Agri Supply. If you have one in your area they are 149.95. Don't know how much to have them shipped. They have very good service and equipment.

I got on agri supply's webpage and looked in every catagory for pallet forks without success. I even used their search engine with negitive findings. $149 sounds to good to be true.

I need one of those and I was just in Petersburg, VA Thursday!!

I did notice that it's for a Cat 2 hitch. And they have a smaller one for $130 at the store.

Oh well, I'll have to swing by there next time I go to visit the grandkid near Virginia Beach.

However I did score a good bargain Thursday - a $240 saw package for $50 from Northern tool.
They were discontinuing the saw - $220 marked down to $99, and a managers sale for 50% off anything under $100, plus they threw in an extra chain (worth $20).

good catch on the cat 2. I can't use that model. Just curious, was the one for $130 a cat 1 ? And if so did you catch a model number ?

Don't hold your breath. I called the 800 number a gentleman in N.C. said he didn't have a listing for a category 1 hitch. Looks like Willl's pallet fork is the only one that would work for my tractor.

Need one to move 1 ton pallets of wood pellets with my JD3120. FEL won't handle a ton. Thanks, Mike

Mike, this may help:

I get my pellets in 1.25 ton pallets (60 bags * 40 lbs). My little Kubota B7610 will pick up just a little less than 1/2 that with the 3PH, and about 1/3 with the FEL.

But, where there is a will, there is a way. I have a utility trailer with a tilt-bed. So, I just run a chain through the pallet , and pull it off the trailer slowly with the tractor. Running the chain thought the pallet allows the tension of the chain the take a little weight off the front of the pallet, making it easy to drag. I do this in driveway (which is paved) in front of my garage. Once it is on the ground, I use a pallet jack to move it into the garage. I got the pallet jack used for $150, and it can lift 5000lbs. Because asphalt is "softer" than concrete under the small wheels of the pallet jack, it is a bit tough to pull, plus I have a little lip to get over to get it in the garage, so I just jack it up with the pallet jack, and gently push it into the garage with the FEL. I unloaded two pallets of pellets this way last weekend. MUCH better than unloading them by the bag. When I pick up a third pallet, I'll probably split the pallet up into three pallets so that I can stack them on the other two with my FEL fork.

I thought this could not be done. Cat 1 3-pt is for cat 1 attachments only. Am I missing something here ?
