After much research here and a few visits to the dealer, I'm narrowing down the choices.

Looking at a 3130HST, Woods BH-80X, Woods 60 or 72" Rotary cutter, Anbo 6 or 7' snow blade. Toughest choice though is the FEL - I'm stuck between Woods 1016 or Kubota LA723. The price difference is about $750

Price quotes for tractor+FEL are 21466 or 22216. This is with lower profile R4s, loaded in back, foam in front.

Any thoughts on this?

I am also looking at purchasing a L3130. Considering a Woods or Kubota FEL and a Woods backhoe.I have found that the Woods backhoe subframe will work with either. The Woods backhoe is nice...

In my case, the Woods 1012 is about the same price as the LA723. I am considering going with the LA723 due to financing. You can finance all Kubota products at 0% for 36 months and up to 30% non Kubota attachments.

I am also considering purchasing with a Bush Hog FEL (2045) and backhoe (BH750). These are about $1200 less. All have a separate pump and subframe for the backhoe.

Anyone familiar with Bush Hog attachments?

I can't compare the two, but have the 723 and bucket with a Bolt-on Tooth Bar and Grapple. Does most everything I want. Sometimes when loading crushed gravel I have to back away slighty before the bucket will curl. Lifts logs, etc. Overall well satisfied with the 723.

I just purchased a L3130GST with a 723 loader and 72"HD bucket for $17,600. This also included a bolt on toothbar and loaded rears (R1's). ATI grapple plus remote brought the total to $19,600.

Well - I visited another dealer today - they are spread pretty far apart up this way. This place doesn't carry Woods, and was very much against attaching anything except a Kubota FEL and BH to the tractor. He suggested that doing that would void the Kubota warranty immediately.

I had them work up some pricing for 3430HST with R4s, LA723 with QA HD bucket and cutting edge, and BH90. Came in right at $30k although an additional $900 for the BH thumb addition, and offered to deliver it the 200 miles for free - all in stock as well. This is about the same price as the closest dealer (40 miles away) was asking for a 3130/Woods 1016/Woods BH80-X.

More thinking to be done I guess...

The woods loader may void the warrenty if its capacity is in excess of the LA723. The backhoe will not.

I have 70 hrs on a L3130 with Kubota LA723 and BH90. I have loaded R4 tires on the rear. My advise would be to get Kubota attachments. Avoid any warranty issues. Plus the rig looks great all in Orange. You won't be sorry.

woods color matches all there BH and it is a superior BH than Kubota offers. My dealer would much rather see you with a Woods over a Kubota. He said you will be much happier with it

I got a L3130 with a L723 Loader and BH90 backhoe and love it. It works great. I would reccomend it to anyone.

Thanks for the input so far. I e-mailed back to the local dealer today, asking for a quote on the Kubota BH90 and the upcharge to a 3430. It sounds like he *really* doesn't want to sell Kubota BHs and reiterated that the Woods is a better unit.

So latest price I have is for a 3430 HST with R4s loaded in rear, foam in front, Kubota LA723 with QA, 6' HD bucket, and bolt-on cutting edge, and Woods BH90-X with subframe and mech. thumb and 12" bucket. All this for 17248 + 5251 + 7786 = $30285 (+tax) out the door. This seems comparable to the other place and the step up to the 3430 was less than $500.

Side note: local dealer is suggesting lower profile R4s (420/70-24 in rear and 10-16.5 in front) since stability on slopes is a big concern for my land. Seems like a good idea on the surface although I suppose ground clearance will be a bit less.

I'm ready to take the plunge pretty soon!
