Pricing a new 3520 cab TLB!

I am looking at a new 3520 with the regular hydro, big r4s, deluxe cab, 300cx with the wrap around brushguard, mid pto, 73"hd bucket, 375 backhoe, 3rd valve and the auto style cruise. maybe a few other goodies before i'm done. He quoted 41,329 for an outright deal and will take off 17K for my '00 4300 tlb. Is this any good? The trade number is good but it still seems pricey. 24,300 difference. Thats a tough check to write when mine works good but I tired of bees, dust, bugs, sun, wind, rain and snow. What should I do? Thanks in advance!

According to the Deere configurator only the ehydro is available with the cab versions. I see you don't like the ehydro.

Suggest you go to the JD Configurator site and price out whatever you have in mind. That should give you pretty close to MSRP and then get some feedback as to typical discounts in your area from fellow TBN'ers.

I came up with minimum $42,200 MSRP for the tractor / ehydro / Cab / FEL / BH but didn't really try to fine tune because I don't have the details.

Yep, I'm pretty sure the only way to get a "old fashioned hydro" is to get one of the budget machines (3032 or 3038), a 2x20 or smaller, or a used tractor.

Dieselram, may I ask why you dont like eHydro? I only ask because I HATED Hydro's of any type before buying my 3520 Cab... eHydro made me a believer.

Two other options to throw out there, price an aftermarket cab with AC for the existing tractor and give some consideration to a 110tlb with a Laurin cab and AC.

Lots of contractors and rental companies are having a rough time right now and I am sure you could find a deal on a lightly used tlb.

I didn't like the e-hydro on my old 4310 but that was when they first came out. The response time of the pedals sucked! I drove the 3520 and it was fine, just like my 4300 with a lighter push. The dealer tells me the 375 is the only one you can get on the cab models, and I don't want less dig depth than my 48 hoe. I don't know. I do kinda want a new one and they are giving me pretty good trade on my 4300 tlb (17K trade in) so that helps and I may do the 0 for 48 too. I don't know what to do now, I am kicking around the non-cab too now. looks like a pita to move the tractor around while on the hoe with a cab where as I can just turn around with a stick and push the pedals. Maybe I should sell my 4300 outright and go for more. Trading it is easier though.

Makes sense...I dunno about your 4310, but the current eHydro models have "adjustable response times". You can go from a huge delay in response to so snappy you'll hurt your neck! :laughing:
