The value of any tractor has to be based on more than the condition of the PTO clutch. You would need a lot more information than that.

While paying attention to what Harry said, factor in the cost of splitting the tractor and replacing the clutch if it comes to that. That is generally the way the clutch is accessed. Of course it could be a simple adjustment. All in all you've given insufficient data for an estimate.

without any info I would have to assume from a buyer's point it's a parts tractor.

I have looked through this site for years and this is my first post ever for any forum of this type so more information:
Have owned this tractor since 2003 and is a great tractor. It is 1973 serial#185489T
The engine (4 cyl 219 diesel) was rebuilt just before I bought it-the tach worked but hour meter did not-I replaced the tach and has 2810 hrs.
8 X 4 transmission; hydraulic/live independent pro; 2 rear remotes
Have used this tractor to do commercial mowing & hay cutting for the last 15 yrs w/many of those logging 10-15 hours/day
Tires are 70% or more 16.9-28 rear 7.50-16 front
Front JD weights (2)+bracket 300#
JD roll-guard aluminum canopy which is pretty bent up(angle frame OK)
Metal is all pretty straight. Will try to post a couple of pics in a bit. Dealer says 1500-2500 for repair and my better half says I should spend that on new or newer one than repair this one!

You might find that repairing it now and fixing your roll guard will net you a much more than selling as-is

You won’t get much for a broken 2wd, geared, no FEL tractor if you try to sell it as is. Buyers will lowball you, figuring the worst case scenario for repairs.
I would bite the bullet and repair it, but before taking it to the dealer, I would see if an independent shop might be a bit cheaper.
When you get the tractor back, you can sell it for a better price, or keep it and continue working.
