Nuru purchased the deck. She is all ready to ship out.
He's been awesome to work with during this transaction.

Thanks Chad! Can't wait to get it so I can start the mod and post pics.

Can't wait to see it on your tractor. I hope you get many many good years with it. I think im going to try to find a Bush hog. I need to mow my outter property line and it has crazy long rag weed and small trees growing seems like a good job for one of those and keeps the wear off the 425.

I hope to have pics by the end of the week if everything goes well.

Hey Chad, I have a new /unused flail mower that I am doing nothing with, and that is very good for brush. Matter of fact I gotta try it out soon. I have had it for a few years and I just have been using the MMM to cut everything.

Update:

Dealer thinks the deck does not need any modifications to work with the Turf Specials. Deck seems to fit and clear the back wheels. Good for me. Need to get a couple of parts though as to mount the unit, apparently the mounting for my 3520 requires a couple of additional parts different from the 3320 to mount correctly.

That's interesting I thought the engine was the only difference in the 3x20 series and the frame is the same.

Good news on the wheels though. Thats one less to deal with.

Yeah, same here on the differences, it was something about one of the connecting parts needed some different threads?

Well now that the deck is on the tractor we did see where the interference is. The Front right tire makes contact with the deck where the protruding metal part is located that assists the tire when it starts its climb over the deck when removing the deck. Without this part the tractor will kick the deck around when you try to back over it to dismount the deck. I told the dealer to turn the tires over to the narrow setting to reduce the incidence of contact.
if that does not do it, then we will cut down the amount of metal on that side to further reduce/eliminate the contact. It only happens when the wheels are turned all the way to the right. No other contact happens. So that is where we are at this time. I hope to get it resolved next week and get the tractor back and post pics.

The change to the narrow setting on the front did the job. The Front right wheel is the only one that is close. Tried the deck out, it cuts very well! Thanks again Chad!

So the net result is no mods to the deck, flip the wheels on the front to narrow, and the deck is compatible with the Turf Special R3's!

Looks great!
I'm glad to hear its connected and mowing well. I was VERY impressed with the cut quality of that deck. Watch out for rocks and stumps don't put too many dents in it!

I better find a new Avatar picture that shows my tractor deckless haha.

Hey Nuru how many acres are you mowing?

1.25 acres most of the time, sometimes almost 3 acres (adding in one of my neighbors).

Thanks and it makes the tractor seem like it is new - going from 2wheel - 4 wheel is much more smooth than it was for some reason?
