Price Check pricing new tractor

To each their own but 110 miles is a long way to haul for warranty work or service. Figure the going rate for loaded mile and you'd have to have a pretty big problem for it not to be cheaper to have it fixed locally.

I know that TYM is a great tractor and warranty issues should be few and far but if issues should arise, and they usually do on the tractor farthest from the dealer, a good deal and a happy deal will change quickly to bad feelings!

I was only suggesting one option thats all. With out trying to start a brand war (which I am not) I will only say that everything has a value. By purchasing the OEM product from the OEM dealer if mighty mississippi can get a better price, a much better warranty, and much better financing than he than has to decide what that is worth. I think buying local is always the best choice when there is a local dealer. But there is no local OEM dealer. For all I know mighty mississippi may call the OEM (TYM) dealer and not like what he has to say or the vibes he gets. I say let the chips fall where they will and let the mighty mississippi make what he feels is the best choice for his needs. Personally I think Red looks better any day but that is only my opinion. I am sure you think Green looks better and that is fine too. At the end of the day the only thing that really matters is what mighty mississippi thinks. That said I wish mighty mississippi the best with what ever he decides to purchase. Red, Green, Maroon or what ever.

I didn't mention brands or colors or warranty or price. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I posted four lines and two of them had nothing but positive comments about TYM?

I was only stating that there is a big difference between price and value and a lot of people choose price without thinking of the value of a good relationship with a local servicing dealer.

My post was only to state my opinion, a 220 mile trip is way too far.

You did have positive things to say about TYM.

But by stating that 220 miles is to far (in your opinion) you are indirectly mentioning brand and color because mighty mississippi already stated the there is a Monanta and Mahidra dealer that are local. I was very careful not to suggest a customer should chose based on price. I personally think that would be a major mistake (my opinion) I believe customers should to choose based on value and price is only part of value. 220 miles is a long way to go no matter how you cut it. I think we both agree there would have to be a major increas in value for a customer to go that far. But what if one of the other units has a warranty problem in the 3rd year (only drive train coverage for the Green and Maroon in 3rd year) or a drive train problem in the 4th or 5th year (no coverage for Green and Maroon) that to could be too much as well. (don't get me wrong I agree thses tractors are very reliable.) If the customer needs to finance the tractor the savings on that plus any savings on the price MAY and the best warranty in the industry may out weigh the 220 round trip to the dealer or it may not. This is of course is only if the customer is satisfied with the dealer other wise no matter what the price and other added value I would suggest against the purchase. If thier was a good OEM (TYM) dealer I would suggest against traveling 220 round trip. All of this like what you had to say is only an opinion.

I think we have chopped enough ice on this subject. Mighty mississippi will do what he feels is best for him. I think we should do what is best for us which I think you would agree is concentrate on selling quality products and doing our very best to make and keep our customers happy.

As I said before I wish mighty mississippi the very best with what ever he purchases.

HI CHIPERMAN
DID YOU GET A CHANCE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY DEALERS CLOSE TO ME
39565 TYM TRACTORS.??

First, you should call TYM directly. They are better than Montana at keeping track of their latest vendor deals, BUT, their website can be outdated.

Second, I think that TYM has a special deal where they will pay for you to get your tractor serviced locally (they pay the bill if under warranty) even if it is not a TYM dealer. I think it is a way to get other dealers interested / looking at TYM, but for you it is a good deal if they are not as close as you like.

All the best
