After lurking here for a long while and learning much, I'm interested in upgrading from my 870 to a 4320 mfwd with cab, ehydro, r1 tires, rear scv and the 400x loader. Configuring it through the deere website shows an msrp of $35,628. My local dealer is quoting $32,000, roughly 10% off msrp.

It seems, from other posts that I find here, that many can find 15% to 20% off. Should I keep shopping? Being in Montana means that there is only one dealer in my area. Are there other dealers within reasonable distance (say less than 1,000 miles) that are more aggressive on their pricing?

Thanks in advance

Your 10% off MSRP is reasonable considering the 4320 is the replacement tractor for the 4710 series and is the latest and best JD has to offer in this HP range. Also minimizing the % discount off MSRP are the relatively few JD dealers in your neck of the Montana mountains. 10% off is reasonable.

Given your locale, I'd say thats a good price. You might find something a little less, but your costs of having it delivered will probably offsett any savings.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll still keep expanding my search region and see if I can do much better. For some reason I keep reading about the awsome deals you guys in the east get and I want that for myself!
