About 10 years ago saw and JD B parked in cattle pen an had been there a while. Stopped asked owner if willing to sell he said was first one to stop and wanted 300 bucks. I purchased it with out further looking . Went and hooked up my trailer and winched the B onto the trailer.
Engine was locked up so removed head and water from exhaust had filled cylinder. sandpapered the cyl. wall oiled the bore and slowly turned the engine over and cleaned the cyl. walls put the old head gasket and bolted the parts back together. put in gas and checked oil open the petcocks and spun the flywheel and engine started. cleaned and aired up the tires. drove around never used any oil they ARE BUILT TOUGH.
one year later pickup stopped and driver wanted to purchase told him 1900 bucks and he paid cash. by then had put on starter and battery fixed the lights.
Some tractors just don't lose there value.
