I think you can do better than $11,500. I have been watching the boomer compacts on ebay and there are some really good deals with tractors that are in the 2005-2006 years with say 350-500 hrs going for not much more than what your dealer wants say $2000but nor sure what your money situation is or how fast you need the tractor
I think you could get a better price from a individual seller versus a dealer.
I worked in landscaping a while. While as Jinman said the tractors are not used hard they are constantly being shifted between forward and reverse. I would check the transmission for excess wear/slippage if possible.
You can also put a wanted ad on Craigslist. An individual may have a good tractor who needs to upgrade to a larger or smaller model.
