What is the going rate on CT335s these days? I am finally willing to accept a left-outside-over-the-winter model because apparently, the dealers got the machines at last year's pricing and also get a selling incentive to get rid of them now.

I am looking for a 335, 8T loader, hydrostat, GP R4s, 0-2 rear hydraulic valve, and whatever needs to be done to work a grappler.

The best price I have received is $18,500 for all this, not including tax. It just seems to me that these guys aren't moving too much. Is this a good price??

Also, someone here suggested installing a third function auxilliary for the grappler. First off, Bobcat doesn't sell the kits. Second, there is no option for a front hyr valve on the 335, only a 445. So the question is, how can I fit the machine with what I need so I have one lever for all the movements of a grappler? I am a newbie but it just seems like this is a big deal when perhaps it shouldn't be.

If there is anyone in central PA that can deliver to the Harrisburg area, I welcome a quote or discussion. Any help is appreciated...I want to get the plumbing all done now so I don't have to go back later to take care of it.

Thanks.

Roger

I actually talked to Rick early in the process and he was incredibly knowledgeable. Seemed like it was a little bit of an issue to deliver it though. Also, we didn't get too much into price either.

The issue I am having is that the local guys just want to put me into the machine the least expensive way as possible (Rick was NOT like this, by the way). I asked a guy today about adding a third function so I could lift the loader and grab with the grapple at the same time and he looked at me like I had straw growing out of my head. After calling his boss he learned that BC doesn't make this and that you couldn't add front valves to the 335, anyway.

I am most interested in a machine with the plumbing already onboard and so I can use the grapple in the most effective way as possible. I just don't even know what I need to make this happen though.

A very frustrating process indeed.

I'm surprised to hear that delivery was a problem. Rick has delivered several states away before. Maybe check with him again, get a price and ask about the hydraulic controls that you want. Should ask him about a grapple also. I know that he was happy to get me a price a few years ago when he was selling Kioti's and I am on the West coast. Of course we would have used an independent carrier for delivery if I had bought from him. His prices were very good.

I probably misunderstood. Maybe I am a tweener--too close for third party delivery and too far for him to bring it.

You should talk to him again, can't hurt to ask. All he can say is no he can't help you. I'm thinking that he can.

Good luck

haved always heard good things about Wallace, never hurts to ask again or maybe he has another option you have yet to discover?

When I was getting quotes on a CT335 and CT445, the sales manager for Bobcat of the Rockies asked me if I wanted the front auxiliary package installed on whichever tractor I bought. I have email attachments that quote ~$840 for the package installed on either tractor.

now I'm a little confused...I have a 335 and when I bought it I had the dealer put the plumbing up front to use a grapple and there wasn't an issue. Now I don't have a grapple yet, I have looked at a few but just can't afford it yet, but I'm assuming that what my dealer installed is going to work...??? Am I missing something that I don't know about? there is a switch on the joystick/loader control that he told me will work the grapple.

The dealer I talked to yesterday said there was no front remote available on the 335. He was wrong...they do have them available.

I am talking to Rick Wallace now about what it would take to put a multifunction joystick on. He is working on it. I notice you are from PA. Two suggestions...(1) call Rick and (2) take a look at this one:

Construction Attachments X-Treme Duty Compact Tractor Root Grapple Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach CAL, 1RGCMP

I will let you know what he says.

Roger

P.S. How do you like your machine?

I'm nearing the end of hooking up a 3rd function elec/hyd valve on my 335...it's a bit of a ***** due to getting the adapter couplings needed to go from the metric hardline on the power beyond to JIC adapater... but I had one in less than 48 hours but that may very for other people's locations... The dealer offers a Diverter valve for just under $1000 canadian installed...
I'm into mine for $500 with nicer gear and the ability to tilt/grapple at the same time (I hope). I paid $22500 cdn for mine to my house with no rear remotes or any extras except a block heater and the loader... Trying to find alot of info on the BC's is tough due to the newness of them but I'm sure you can learn a bit in the Kioti forums...

thought I'd share my adventures....:D

I have run into this confusion a couple times in past. Salesman is looking in options list for the tractor, when the Front Auxiliary kit is mounted to the loader so is listed in FEL options.

Tshaw, what are you using for elec/hyd valve. I plan on doing something similar but need an open center elec. valve and supply oil from my detented rear remote.

Everything Attachments has a Power beyond kit for $750. Not installed, mind you. A swicth on the loader control opens and closes the grapple.

I have a 335 with 225 hours on it with remotes and hoses run to the front for a grapple I am trading in next week. It also has a custom aluminum top. They are giving me $14,000 for it if anybody wants it for that. South Louisiana.

Let me know what Rick has in the way of multifunction joystick. Check this one out at WR Long...
Valve Kits

Here's another nice grapple that I've been looking at... Anbo Manufacturing - General Purpose Utility Grapple UT-S

As for how do I like my 335, so far it's awesome. I have about 130 hours on it and it really does seem to only be getting stronger. Both my brother and sister have JD's and I have driven them both and mine just seems so much nicer, more powerful and much easier to operate...maybe I'm a little bias, they're quite happy with theirs as well.
As has been noted on TBN before, there are a few "flaws", the paint really does seem sorta cheesy, no primer and chips rather easy, the Bobcat battery deffinately leaks and corodes the battery compartment, with only 130 hours I have already removed the battery and wire brushed and rustoleumed that area twice, easy fix with a sealed battery but I'll wait til this one dies. The tool box, if you want to call it that, is useless, I removed mine and attached an ammo can in it's place, way bigger, it's steel so much stronger and waterproof.
Overall I wouldn't trade it for one of the other ones. Great machine.

Let me know what Rick says.

We use the WRLONG kits! Good stuff and great support!

I purchased my CT450 from Rick and we used the WRLong kit for my front aux, I have a 72" grapple and it works seemless...

I'm using a d03 tandem center valve on a single valve manifold...$103.99 at princess auto in canada... they have them in open center also... I can't rememeber the name of the outfit in the states thats very similar...(farm supply/misc tools and general guy stuff retailer). I was gonna finish the plumbing tonight but the ground is still way too soft (i got very stuck last night) and were on a forested peat bog... so finishing the grapple would be too much temptation for me...It'll wait a bit :)

Or you can just use the rear remote, run the hose up front and use either the A or B control you have... at least thats what I did on my CT235. You can see it on the pic...
