Pricing question on new 2014 M9960 Kubota

What would you feel the advantages of the NH over Kubota? How did the pricing compare? Thx

Price wise, about the same (if I had purchased the 9960 from Barlows in Somerset, KY). Here are a few things I liked better about the NH (not necessarily advantages): corner post exhaust for unobstructed view; sloping hood and sun roof for better loader visibility; instrument panel moves with tilt steering wheel; parking break system; floor mat in cab is not "spongy" like the Kubota; hydraulic shuttle lever on the NH is super easy and fast to operate; 540 PTO speed is achieved at 1900 RPM; 120 amp alternator standard; overall lay-out of controls and larger cab; weight of the NH is about 1500# more; big Michelin radial tires; power steering cylinders located behind front axle; engine produces more torque.

Oops, forgot the #1 reason I chose the NH: my wife's favorite color is BLUE.

Yes its Canadian $. And yes its the power shuttle. I've been borrowing my brothers JD 5083E for loader work and I need my own. John Deere wants a bit more money( about $4500) and then only a non self leveling loader, smaller tires, and only bias tires yet , and Kubota has a better transmission. If I want self leveling I have to move to an M series on the JD and then a big jump in coin.
I contemplated the Kioti but it only has a syncro shuttle and you have to clutch

Not to screw you up now as the Kubota looks like a good deal, but I'm pretty sure the PX9020 is a power shuttle.

Well the dealer here told me it was only a syncro and you had to clutch. I think the website says that too. He says no big deal but I think it would be for doing extensive loader work. He doesn't have one on the yard now but he said this week yet.

I could be wrong. I agree, I would want a PST for lots of loader work.

Unless Kioti has made a recent change, their big boy is still a synchro shuttle. This was the reason I did not consider the PX90 when I was buying. To me, a hydraulic shuttle for this size machine is invaluable and a must have.

One other feature to consider: I do not believe the 9960 has an electric switch or manual device for raising / lowering the 3 PT arms at the rear of the tractor. The NH offers both depending on the transmission you select. Without it, you will be running in and out of the cab to make height adjustments when hooking up equipment unless you have the quick hitch system that matches up with your implements.

The KIOTI PX9020 has a Synchonized Shuttle Lever.

NH and Kubota make good tractors, our dealer handles both, so I can't help on that. However, we traded a synchro-shuttle in n our M8540 hydraulic-shuttle and had no idea how much nicer the hydraulic shuttle would be, I'd never buy anything else.

Coolnature talks of the NH. Is NH T4.95 the same as the Farmall 95C? My dealer here wants $5500 more for the 95C over the Kubota. Gonna hijack my own thread!! :laughing:
