Priming the cylinder

I have a neighbor with a red tractor but I figure blue tractor owners can answer this just in case it were happen to me.

The other day a rubber hydraulic hose blew off the fitting on the FEL bucket (weak crimp). There was very little fluid loss but I believe that air got into the system when the new hose was installed because the bucket dropped slightly when the old hose was taken off.

My question is, do the lines or cylinders need to be primed or bled when the hoses are replaced?

When the hydraulics are worked they will purge the air out back to the tank.

Just run them up and down a few times and they will purge themselves. May want to check your hydraulic fluid level after but you should be ok.

Thanks all,
The fluid level was down barely 1/4 cup, still within limits on the stick. I figured that the air would have made a big bubble in the cylinder.
