priority valve install

Looking for some help on the correct way to install priority valve into hyd system on yanmar 2610D. This machine had hyd steering added at some point. the system I think is an open circuit system and used its own pump that was installed to the front pulley. I have had numerous problems with this pump and have decided to utilize the existing hyd system. This machine has has a FEL and 3pt. Can some one send me a diagram on how to install the Prince RD500 priority valve into the system so that everything operates.

This is the RD550, could not find the RD500 valve specifically.

Thanks, this helps but also looking for diagram of how lines from FEL and power steering attaches. Should the steering hook to the priority side and do I need a relief valve?

Yes the priority flow goes to steering. Adjust the steering speed so it is comfortable and safe while traveling down the road. Then check the speed when traveling slower and do an "emergency" steer. Both of these steering speeds should be comfortable to you.

Relief valve: On most if not all priority valves blocking the priority flow blocks all flow so yes a relief valve is required in the priority leg and there should also be a system relief between the pump and the priority valve. Relief valves are usually less expensive than blown components.

May also want to verify what the rated pressure is for the steering Vs your system pressure.
