<font color=red>"Charlie - What's the status on your Pro-Ears? Have you gotten them back yet?</font color=red>
Not back yet. I sent them snail mail. I haven't gotten an acknowledgment of receipt, so I guess it's time for a call.

I used the Pro Ears DPM2 for the first time tonight while mowing with the BX2200 and listening to the radio through the Pro Ears. They really work. I've tried various plugs with Peltor passives, and Bose aviation but the Pro Ears are at least subjectively the most quieting of the bunch.

Huskerfan - I'm glad you've found them helpful. I'm still tickled to death with mine. They're dirty, scratched up, and one of the pads is scuffed pretty bad from where I stepped on it and slid it across the non-skid surface of my cab floor, but they still work great. Thanks for the feedback, and keep us posted!

I just talked with John (the guy at Shooter's Safety Products who worked out the discount for us) for the first time in quite a while yesterday. He had a heart attack a couple weeks ago. He's back at work now, but he's going back and forth to the doctor's office quite a bit, because they're still trying to figure out why it happened. He said he's doing ok, but I just wanted to let everyone know, just in case you tried to get in touch with him and couldn't.

My Pro Ears came back. The enclosed paperwork said a board had to be replaced. Would apparently have been an $80 job, but they didn't bill me. The box contained a notice chiding me for not getting an authorization number before sending the Pro Ears to Ridgeline.
They seem to be working fine, so I put the plugs away.

Here is some more feed back on the Pro Ears. This weekend
my wife and kid showed up on the property. The kid was
driving my wife nuts wanting to see daddy so she strapped
the kid into the car and drove the 30 minutes out to see me.

As they where leaving I had started working the tractor again
and they where standing a good 30-40 yards away from me.
I had the RPMS up around 2000. One "ear" was not working
since my daughter had accidently turned it on and drained the
batteries. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif But the other "ear" was working. I could
see the wife and daughter, 26 months old, where trying to
tell me something so I cranked up the working "ear" and I
could hear them. Not well but I could hear them. They both
where telling me to be careful. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I was impressed that I could hear them at all. With the "ears"
off I could not hear a thing. I think if I had had fresh batteries
in the headset I could have heard them a bit better.
Later,
Dan

2) Does any one know if the TBN discount still applies? I see a lot of guys buying tractors, there maybe alot of guys wanting/needing to protect their hearing. The discount may just make it happen. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
