3-Point Hitch Problem with 3 point hitch

Just got my TC30 and 6ft Landpride finish mower. The problem is that the mower casues the lift arms to beat against my tires. Tried adjusting the stablizier arms, they bent.

I saw this problem on another post. The solution was the wrong arms were on the tractor.

My dealer says these are the arms put on at the factory. He is checking with the factory rep. about potential fixes.

I talked to another guy who said he always had to make a steel bar and put between the arms, but that his new JD came with the bar.

Any suggestions?

Flip the lower pins on the mower to point inward toward each other.

Can your tires be pushed out to a wider setting?

I have a 1720 which is just a shade smaller than your tractor. Just about every time I change attachments, I have to readjust the stabilizer arms. Its aggravating but it works. I have a 5 foot finish mower but the heaviest thing is my 6 foot disk. I have to carry it about a quarter of a mile over to the field over rough ground. The stabilizer arms keep it off the wheels and my wheels are turned in as close as I can get them for farming. The turnbuckle arms are pretty strong. Do you pick up the finish mower when you turn around quickly? If not this may be putting enough torque on the arms to bend them.

I have a 1920, and used to have a few problems with spacing. But I finally have the turnbuckles adjusted fairly well. I can hitch up anything made for the 26" cat 1 down to about 20" ( I have to loosen the tb's to use the 18# stuff. I have my pins turned on my implimints so that i don't have much adjustment.
I do have a 3pt spreader/seeder that likes to flop alot though. I add extra chains with spring lock hooks to stabilize it. Just keep them outta the pto.
