bx-23 ,
I was changing my oil the other day,and i noticed alot of thick grease on the inside of my right rear rim.Its right where the rim and tire meet.Icant imagine where it could be coming from, would they use grease to mount a tire? There is none on the other side. There is nothing coming out of the rear tranny housing, plus it doesnt smell like my super udt.It doesnt smell or look like the beet juice they loaded the tires with, this looks and smells like grease.Would it ooze out beside the tire if they used it to mount the tires?I cant ImAgine it would fly off my pto shaft, and perfectly splatter on the edge of the rim all the way around,my bets its something they mounted the tire with Also i cant believe its been there all along and i havent washed it off, with almost 160 hrs now,.ANY BODY SEEN THIS ON THERES?

Check the pressure in your tires. After the winter I had some slimy brown stuff coming out around the bead of my rear tires. It did smell a little like the beat juice stuff so I was pretty sure what it was. I finally checked the pressure in the tires and they were low. Since I put the pressure back to the normal I have not had the problem again.

They shouldn't have used grease for any reason to put the tires on - of course it is not outside the realm of possibilty that they did if they were maybe having a hard time getting the tires on or something like that. Try taking some of the substance and see if it dissolves in water - if it does it is probably the beet juice - if it leaves an oily film they you have grease - and a bit of a mystery on your hands.

Thanks i think your right.I bought a tire gage for filled tires and it was low, about 5 lbs, funny it wasnt even showing it was slack.I had more of the substance on there after i ran it yesterday,Iwill check it in the morning, now that i blew it up.It threw me off because mixed with dirt it wasnt black like the beat juice.I guess with low pressure it can seep up by the sidewall.Funny thing i had a punctured front, this summer, kept going down[almost rolled it off the rim once]never lost any.Iknow its filled because it comes out the valve stem.go figure.
thank you
