Ford 1720
This is my first post here and I hope someone can help. I bought a Ford 1720 new in 1992 and the dealer installed a 107 Du-All loader. I have never had the need to dismount the loader until today. It dismounted very easy but when I disconnected the hydraulic lines the 3 point hitch lift stopped working. I was a little low on hydraulic oil but after adding--same problem. Then I remounted loader--everything works fine. Do I need to have some type of hoses to connect the fittings on the box when front end loader is dismounted in order to complete oil flow? Thanks for any help you have.

Yes Connect a hose across the fittings that you removed the loader from. You need fluid flow from the pump to the 3pt.

Thanks for responding. I have 3 different fittings. Do you know which ones I would need to connect? Thanks

If you run the tractor without hooking up the flow through lines, it is likely your oil will overheat, and you will hurt something.

Can't help you on your specific question.

I would suggest tracing out the hoses and see where they go. You need to get fluid to the 3pt. If your FEL valve had PB, then you need a hose from the pump source, to the hose the PB was connected, and the other hose goes to tank. If no PB, then the tank/out hose would go to the 3pt.

You said three hoses, does it have Power steering?

That 1720 should have a diverter valve on the right hand side just below the platform. The loader quick disconnects are screwed into the block. There is a slotted screw-head ball valve that must be turned 90 deg for the 3ph and hydraulics to work with the loader removed. Clean the valve block off with engine cleaner and you will see the screw head. Don't force it, it only turns 90 deg. Woods equipment bought Do-All in about 1994. There should be a manual on their website.
