Problem with freedom of 42 mulching deck

I broke the timing belt on a stump the other day and I replaced the timing belt, the blades and the main drive belt. I've had the deck on and off about four times, I line up the blades so that they are perpendicular to each other and as soon as I start the tractor they slip into a new position and start hitting together. The keyways are solid everything, seems fine but once the power comes from the motor and blade position shifts. Any thoughts?

Are you familiar with setting the tension on the belt? The problem here in describing it, that there are 2 different Freedom deck designs. Deere will have owners manuals on their website per your application if you don't have one. With that being said, there are also different timing belts per model and serial.

I am familiar with it and it looks correct to me. When I mount it and turn on the deck the blades go out of line

Do you lock the tensioner pulley down tight or just rely on the spring to hold it ? (it won't) - Either deck type.

Also, When you hit the stump were the splines in one of the drive sprockets damaged? There are no 'keyways' as such. Splines drive and keep things timed.

That is possible. I didn't look real close at them. It must be something like that. When I set the blades correctly and turn by hand everything is fine. If I block the one blade with my foot I can't move the other but as soon as the power from the engine is engaged they are out of adjustment
