just letting everyone know what is happening the plunger blade was definitely bent.took it to work and tried straightening it on press but between the wear and bend
it was not gonna work.so the fabricator said why not make one so we did look really but one problem he used 7/16 instead of 5/16 steel just honest mistake i cant make plunger move that much so i'm going back to the drawing board.maybe go to a machine shop in the morning.

I finally got the blade back from machine shop.They did a great job put it in made minor adjustments and had a round bale that i broke down and it baled beautifully.Never missed a lick.So if anyone needs a blade for super 78 shop only charged 40.00 to make it.thanks for leading me in the right direction everyone here.

Thanks for letting us all know what the actual problem was and how it was corrected. Your response and tessiers recommendations, along with others is what makes this site so great. It is very seldom I don't learn something of value and/or something from these threads.

Glad to hear you got it baleing well. $40 is a steal, messicks lists plunger side blade at $117 and stationary blade at $272. I love to tinker on old equipment, hope I helped out.
