Problem with starting 2014 Hustler Raptor SD

I was sitting in the seat with it running when I engaged the levers. Engaging the left one killed it. I'm going to try loosening the screws and bump that left side lever safety switch over a wee bit, and hope that will remedy the problem. Being a widow on a fixed income, hiring a repair guy is my last option. Thanks so very much for your input Ford850!

The end verdict...

Well, I had a bad seat switch. The "switch" on the left lever arm was "stuck." I sprayed it down with alcohol and cleaned it with a rag. Replaced the solenoid, I'm in business! Thank you everyone for your responses and input!
