Riggs Jr., I've been on the forum for several years and don't recall any problems with the Kubota HST's. That is not to say there are never problems but if they were common it sure would have shown up here. Hydraulics are very dependable as long as fluids are keep free of contaminates.

There is a very good description of the various types of tractor transmissions on www.tractorsmart.com. It reviews the pros and cons of each type of transmission, etc. It said that a hydrostatic transmission is very resistant to operator abuse - e.g. no burned out clutches, etc. The con is a small power loss at the PTO. Good luck in your search.

I did have one small problem with my B7500 HST. My three point hitch arm had a pin inside slide out of place. It was fixed under warranty, but the bill would have only been $200 or so, if I had to pay. Other than that it has been an easy starter and a great runner. Overall, I'm impressed and very pleased.

I have had my B7500 since September and have put 190 hours of hard use on it. Every time I think that I might be having a problem, (and I am expecting one because of the hard use I have given it), it turns out to be the idiot behind the wheel. It's been an incredibly reliable machine.

Had my 7500hst for more than a year now. No trouble, problems or complaints. I live on 12 acres with everything from woods, brush, 400' drive, 3 acres of lawn and a 1 acre pond. I've used it on all of the above and it handled exceptionally well.

I've run Kubota's for the last 20 years, all HST's. I've done some things that were just plain crazy and never had a problem with any of them. That said, I have on ocassion, popped a seal or two on a loader cylinder, but it always has happened when the tractor was still under warranty so it's never cost me anything.

I have orange, green and red tractors and they are all good . I just like running the orange ones better.

I've had my B7500 for almost a year now. She's a rock solid performer with no major problems.

I blew a hydrolic hose on my FEL shortly after I bought it new. Dealer gave me a new one and that was it.
