We have the tub shower combo in the guest bath, but only a large shower in the master. Tiled and inset into floor, walk-in. (Well, right now it is still just a space for the shower).

We did a slightly smaller one in remodel in former house. Removed a tub that sat unused for years.

We noticed how hard it was for our aging parents to get in and out of the bathtub. So much so they didn't bathe as often as they should.
So we did the remodel to have a walk in shower in the master bath. It is so much easier than a tub. Also easier to clean.

We put a teak shower seat in our shower. It can be moved about and makes for easier cleaning. We will take it along to the new place.

One house with 4 owners in 20 years and each redid the bathrooms

First tub out, second tub in, third tub out and now tub in…

Confirms lots of disposable income!

The Realtors here advocate for everything painted… either white ir grey… including over premium stain grade cabinets and doors.

A nearby mansion with hardwood floors and stained wood features was all painted white in 1900…

In 1980 a team of volunteers refinished the floors and stripped the paint from the library and it is jaw dropping gorgeous… but more recent concerns of stripping 100 year old paint with lead means the remainder will stay painted white.

How before the fad changes and people start ripping this stuff out?

I apologize. Not talking about your home, but referring generally to what Ultrarunner posted about the realtors wanting everything painted white and then having to change it later.
