Snowblower Pronovost P-740 snowblower

It went for $4400 canadian. That is with all the hydraulics and 2 dozen shear pins.

Pronovost recomends min. 30 pto hp. I run it on a L4330HST with 35 pto hp. I would not want anything less. Also Hydo is the only way to go. If hydo isn't doable you will need creeper gears, at least for this blower. This blower moves a lot of snow. The impeller fan is 1/4 to 1/3 larger in size than most units.

One thing I did forget to mention in my previous post the impeller fan is adjustable. You adjust the gap on the discharge side. Aslo Pronovost has a replacable sleeve for the fan drum. Looks like I'll never have to buy another snow blower again /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Intersting, could you explain this a bit more? The gap meaning the clearance between fan and drum?

Wow...thats nice. So this its a drum in a drum type setup..how is it held in?

On this model it is just welded in.


They do have TRC option (on the larger ones) which has a drum that rotates. What it does is you can blow the snow out side ways from the blower instead of up the chute. It requires less HP to run and the ground speed can be faster when running in that mode. They by rotating the drum hydrualically you blow the snow up the chute and direct it to where you want.

Its been to cold and windy to use the cabless tractor and blower. Yesterday was the first day above 5F in three weeks.

Here are some pictures of what I do with the snowblower. In the photos the snow is plowed into piles by our plow trucks. The area is about 25' x 40'. I aso had to do another area about half the size and the driveway which is about 700' where about 75' was only about 8' wide due to drifting. Total time was 5.5 hrs

Broke my first shear pin. It was on the auger. Hit a rock about the size of a football. Didn't even here it hit /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif and no damage /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

I would like to take more pictures but when you are working the machine on the clock its hard to get all the pictures you want... Even those "action" photos. I've got more jobs to do so hopefully I can get some "action" photos.
