You must be buying your "pure gas" in New Hampshire, as it is illegal to "dispense non-ethanol gas from a pump" in the sanctuary state of Taxachusetts (except for airports).

We used to buy MOGAS at an airport but it’s more expensive: $4.75. The race tracks sell “Racing” fuel, price varies but at Palmer I think it was around $6 a gallon.

You can buy gallon cans for even more: still cheaper than a new carb.

We topped off propane tank last month. $1.75 gal. I install and maintain lots of propane generators here in north idaho. Never have had any issues with frozen propane tanks come winter. The only time ive seen propane tanks freeze is when using my patio heater hooked to a 5 gallon propane bottle.

Are you getting a commercial rate? This website New Jersey Weekly Heating Oil and Propane Prices (October - March) shows a higher rate. But being it's Federal website the accuracy isquestionable.
