Hey slave, what you really need is a thumb for the backhoe bucket and an add-a-grapple for the FEL bucket. Then nothing moves much and you can load both ends without leaving your seat! :)

Lowe's carries those headphones.

I have the Aero Peltors. They were $150. They can be used with firearms, but other than that the Deere units win. Mine have a built in radio, but a high dollar cable is required to work with an iPod. The Deere units look like winners!

Yeah you said it!! I lust for either one!

If only I didn't have to replace my piece of **** Chevy truck. When I got my new 3720 I was hoping I could get another couple of years out of the truck, sigh. Good deals on Dodges and Fords right now...but for the same $$ I could go buy a nice big track loader or an articulated skidder!!

Well this thread is morphing now :)

As to the JD headphones... I have these and a pair of the sharper image ones. We compared these two, plus the Bose, in our assembly clean room, at work. They all did a good job. The SI and Bose units cover the ears a bit more than the JD. But that is a feature when its hot outside. I tried both the JD and SI units on my tractor and definately liked the JD units better. They seems to tune out the tractor frequencies better and breathed a bit better.

None of these totally cancel the tractor noise but they do suppress a large portion and they amplify human speach so if someone is behind you and you start to backup, you can hear them holler at you! :) Actually it's a serious feature. The JD units are built stout. Mine have not been treated lightly and the batteries have lasted an amazingly long time.

Just ordered my JD pair through Lowes (for pickup tonite). Together with my iPod and a few Bruce Williams and Chuck Swindoll podcasts, I'm set to drive!
