I recently got a new 5' landpride mower for use on my TC-29D. Got it on and hooked up and working. does a good job on my 1 acre front yard. However I need some advice. When it is resting on the gauge wheels the raise/lowerlever for the 3 point is forward of the range designated as the "float range".
Also a couple of ttimes when I have raised the mower whill engaged I get a sound that doesn't seem right.
Question 1:
How should I rig the three point to put it in the float range while cutting? Come to think of it it was in the Foward portion of the "float" range when I had the bush hog attached. There is I suspect a failure to appreciate the proper Geometry of these systems.
Question 2: When I raise the cutters( both Bush hog and finish, do I need to throttle down, disengage , reposition, relower the unit and then reengage.
A personal note: I am glad to be back and am enjoying reading the posts. I left DFW on June 14 for a 3 day business trip. Got back to home on July 25. My 85 year old mother fell on the 16th grevoiusly injured herself dying on the 26th of June. I have been a busy boy with the arrangements. Also have been dealing with getting an 80 year old aunt settled in assisted living, arranging for the house we have had since new in 1921. The house is not A/Ced by the way.And not least, experiencing the sensation of having my Aunt and myself being sued by some relatives who were not even named in the will.
Needless to say I am glad to be back to a normal level of chaos. Riding the Bull, as my wife dubbed our TC-29D, is quite therapudic.
