Property fencing question....

   / Property fencing question.... #21
Just finished having our 80 acres surveyed here in South West Virginia. $ 8,500 got me everything... old logging roads I've turned into trails, driveway, house, shop, creek, and all lines marked 50 ft with 5 ft metal stakes, and filed at the court house. Even got a real nice aerial photo with property lines depicted. Yes, it was a lot of money, but there will NEVER be any question as to what I own and where it is.
Is that why those drones were always flying over your property?

Hey that was a pretty penny but worth every single cent, also sound mind and you know exactly what is yours and not! I did the same thing for my land. I wanted to know and didn't mind spending the bucks!

It only cost me $600 to get my 37.96 acres surveyed. Had the same people do it that did it back in 2005/2006. Back then, it was two parcels, totaling 37.8 acres. By putting it into one parcel, I got an additional .16 acres from the previous public, now private road, that's now my driveway.

Well worth the piece of mind, IMO!

Turns out they were looking for stills, you know, cooking corn liquor. We are just over the line from Franklin County, which by all counts still might be the moonshine capital of the world.

I am in northeast TN and we see busts all the time for shine. Funny thing is, you can buy it now in all the booze stores around me.

So who was it and no warrant was needed to spy on your property?

ATF, they fly over using infra red looking for strange heat readings where there shouldn't be any. Don't know about the warrant part, it's the way it is here in Va.
