When I moved, U Haul vans were $2,000 to leave California, but if you rented here in Texas and were going to California, it was $400 for the same miles. So many people were leaving that they couldn't get enough vehicles for people to rent.
For the people with taxes over $10k, what is the value of the house? That's crazy, if the house isn't paid off, how do you afford something like that plus insurance and everyday expenses? I thought mine was bad, house we built last year, on 9.5 acres, value around $250-$275k, taxes $3200. The thing I hate is I have my own septic, well and I have to pay for garbage removal. The fire department is volunteer, I don't get what I'm getting for these fees. Not to be political, but healthcare and taxes is making it hard for a "middle class" person to survive
