Rotary Cutter Pros and cons of a new Everything Attachment 6ft. rotary cutter purchase .

I really like the EA cutter and the company that makes them. Would have purchased one but they were back ordered at the time I needed mine.

My Flail mower came on a pallet. had a metal frame as well with plastic wrap. The whole thing had been freight abused IMO as the frame was bent and almost broken, the mower was caddy-wampus-crooked on the pallet as well telling me some nimrod with a fork lift was drunk or disorderly. The mower appeared to be ok but I had the driver take photos of it all, as did I using our cell phones. He sent his right off to the company, Old Dominion, then told me if there were any issues with its operation to call OD Freight Co giving them my shipping number and someone would be out to look. Everything worked fine as it should so I felt lucky...I sort of blame Woodmaxx for their poor shipping method of the pallet and wrap but anything better could also get damaged...Today, I was out looking for another rotary brush mower and found a nice Land Pride 2060 with maybe 3 hrs use and a warranty on it for $1600. so bought it. Soon as I get the gear oil checked and lube the zerks it will go to work mowing a 10 acre field.

got the Land Pride 2060 lubed, gear oil looked new and also full on the stick so hooked it up and went mowing after checking driveline length. Can say this is a nice mower, no issues, great cut and quitter than expected. Worked great on my Harbor Freight fast hitch, easy on and off. Mowed 10 acres of 12 inch grass with ease. tried taking the loader off my Kubota for the first time, easily done; mowing was much nicer with it removed.

What did you find nicer about mowing with the loader off? I did the same a couple weeks ago and to me it felt like the ride was rougher. Easier to see but not a more comfortable ride. Curious what your experience was.

As my mowing entailed hills, some dips and lot of turns due to trees, mowing with the loader made it harder to see. After taking it off, my very first try at this, mowing became easier due to vision more than anything and I did not notice the ride being rougher although I must say the field is pretty smooth and without holes plus no rocks to worry about so the tractor can roll across pretty easily. One thing was, without the weight up front and when turning on a hill, I noticed the wheels slipping a little so engaging the 4x4 lever stopped that. Can say I liked it well enough to remove my loader when mowing, I do agree there was some bounce in places but not enough to mow with the loader mounted. Different conditions might change my mind but not on this field.
