Tractor
Massey Ferguson GC1725M
After studying for quite a while, I finally pulled the trigger. I'm a first time tractor owner. I bought GC1725M and 2315 mid-mount mulcher. Still waiting for the mower to arrive, hopefully this week.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, but I try to search before asking.

Here's my first...
The back of the bucket has two predrilled holes, with plastic inserts. They look to be about 1 inch diameter. Can someone tell me what they're for?

Bolt on hooks/rings is what I've always assumed. I'm actually curious if there's a real answer to this as well.

Oh...and congratulations on a fantastic purchase. Just crossed 300hours with my GC1710 and I couldn't be more impressed with the power and durability they pack into these machines. After looking and green, orange, other orange, blue and other red I'm more assured every day that I made the right choice. Also, the 1725M fixes some ergonomic things that I always thought the GC platform would benefit from. Enjoy!

Thank you. I was thinking the holes might be for bolt on hooks, but then I realized all the hooks I had seen require two holes each for the bolts. The two predrilled holes are each near loader arms. Unless there are single bolt hooks that I haven't yet seen....

I’ve wondered about those plugged holes too. Since I can’t think of a practical use for them I’m going to guess that they were part of the manufacturing process. Maybe robotic arms hooked on to those holes while the buckets were getting welded.

Congrats! We bought ours a few months ago. It is great little tractor. We got the backhoe and 60 inch drive over deck.
