Did you buy a new water pump??? Wish I had seen your post earlier. There is a company that rebuilds them and does great service. I remember sending mine ups to them on tuesday and I had it back rebuilt and looking new on friday. Not affliated with them at all but great service received. You will love your 2000. I've had mine for about 7 years.

I made cement wheel weights for my ym2000 a couple of years ago which adds 160 lbs to each wheel. During the spring, summer and fall I also fill the tires with water. Believe me when I tell you, these tractors can handle ANYTHING you throw at them. If mine died tomorrow I coulld not complain. It has been used hard and is still going strong.

Cool, but one question, how are they attached, how do you get them off to change tires or tubes? I cant see the lugs.

Yeah I wound up buying one from Hoye. Everything seems to be good now. Just getting a little leaking from the gear shifter housing. I'm going to guess and assume that I need to replace that seal fastened by four bolts.

Thanks to everyone who helped. I look forward to helping others if I'm able to!

The rubber boots have a habit of leaking out of the bottom. What looks like a seal leak may be a boot problem. I clamped a plastic ty-rap down tight on my YM1700 and it held the fluid back then.

Check the vent, (U-shaped tube under your seat), for being plugged. The rubber boot is not intended to prevent oil or water leakage. It just keeps trash out of the mechanism, same as brake cylinder boots.

Took off the tire and laid it on the ground. I put a plastic container ( like an ice cream bucket) over the center of the tire to allow a "bubble" of space when I put in the concrete. Lined the rim with plastic visquine. There are holes in the rim itself presumedly for doubling the tires up. I took some rebar and poked through the visquine, through those holes and into the ground. The rebar must be taller than the side of the tire as it is laying on the ground. Pour the concrete and after a while wiggle and move the rebar to make 4 holes to mount the cement to the rim. Let it cure and flip the tire over to get the cement out of the rim and wa- la! Mount the tire back on the tractor and then put the weight in the rim ( NOT AN EASY TASK, I'm 5'4" and I managed) and bolt it in place. I did this about 3 years ago give or take and they are still going.
