Well I finally pulled the trigger. After looking a learning on here for months I decided to go with a new BX24. I bought it at Emerich's in Charlton NY. What a great place to deal with. Kevin has been great since the first time I met with him. Before I picked up the BX24 I had Kevin equip it with a 60" mower, toothbar and a block heater.

So far I used the BH and the FEL. For a small tractor, it has some big power. What a difference from my old MTD. I can't wait for the spring time so I can start on some big projects.

I would like to thank everyone here on TBN for all the help you gave me in making my choice. As you all know, it is a hard one to make. :)

I have attached a couple of pics of my new pride and joy.

Chris

Good luck with your new BX24. You're gonna love it. Now go get it dirty:D.

Enjoy the new machine, and don't be in a rush to get it dirty. Give it a good waxing, because it will never ever be as clean as it is now. They are great machines, but be careful for the first few hours of use, until you get used to how it handles and what it is like. Think of your old MTD as a Mini Cooper, and the Kubota as a bus. The look alike, but they do handle differently. Post some pictures of your next project.... Dusty

Did they fix the cracking fender issue yet?

Great, now I have tooth bar envy!

Yes, they redesigned the fenders. I'm sure his has the new and improved version. I get to replace mine later in the week.

Sweet lookin ride!
I love the black teeth (I too have envy) - and the black BH bucket...

If you are like me - you will love it!

I have a tooth bar and almost never have a use for it. The Kubota BX can dig in dirt quite well without it, but the few times that you do need it for hard compacted ground, it is well worth having. Dusty

Guys - Thanks for all the nice remarks.

As for the fender, I'm not sure if it is the new one or not. The tractor arrived around the middle of October at Emerich's so I'm not sure if it made the cut for getting the new fender. This weekend I will take a look underneath and see if I see anything that looks like the revision.

The toothbar seems like a pretty nice option. I have done a little digging with it and it seems like it works well. I will have to take it off and see what the difference is. I figured while the tractor was at Emerich's I might as well have him put it on. :) I was actually pretty impressed when I picked the tractor up and saw the toothbar. Its pretty stout and the teeth are good size. They are much bigger than what my friends skid steer has.
