Hey Tim,
I've got a 2445 w/backhoe. When I first got it it provided me with an introduction to repacking cylinders. Mine does creep some but does not lack power. Curling and breakout forces are impressive. I think the limiting feature most bothersome is side to side range. It is useful, but I've had it off the tractor for three years and haven't had the burning urge to break it out. I'll generally grab the trencher instead for carving out small holes or such.
I've only used the mini hoe before so the side to side range seems pretty good to me. Don't even have to use the steering wheel, lol. So, did rebuilding the lift cylinder improve the lifting force? Did you need any special tools to do the job?
