Several of you offered to drive up here and slap me around to get me to stop listening to myself think about hydraulics!

My results the same with Ken. The white seals are some sort of mythic whatevers and I have huge hydrualic shops around me. that said, never hurts to ask.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the hard steering problem went away on its own. The steering freed up after about 12 hrs of using it, and I've since put on about 100 hrs. The hard steering comes back every now and then, but it goes away, fortunately. I'm not sure what the problem was or is, but I want to thank everyone for their help.

Talking about Power steering, I need some advice. I have a 2019 L 6060 HST. I notice a quirk in the steering, drives me crazy. Example, I am traveling in reverse , and as soon as I start driving fwd with a simultaneous turn of the steering wheel, the steering response will go slack for an instant. It can also occur if I am operating on an uneven terrain and turn the steering wheel quickly. When these events occur I m not steering to wheel limits. Dealer has no idea? Would appreciate any advice.

That does sound like an issue, for sure! I'm definitely not an expert on hydraulics and I'm not familiar with how Kubota hydraulic systems are set up. How long has the tractor been doing this and does it do this most of the time? If you know for sure that there aren't any leaks anywhere, and there are no non-hydraulic problems with the mechanical linkage at the steering cylinder, then I would check out to see if the steering valve ( right at the steering wheel ) seems to be working properly, then the next area I would look at would be the steering cylinder. That's just an area where I would get started.

Welcome to TBN!

Since this is a PowerTrac specific thread, I suggest you post a question about your Kubota over in the Kubota owner/operating forums. You'll probably get a more specific response over there. ;)

Here's a link to that forum...
