On that note, I'm on my 2nd set of throttle/choke cables. I'm tempted to switch to the engine mounted shorty cables.YES, I have several... and an oscilloscope.
I would normally have checked the original switch, but it was physically damaged (by me, while swapping out the throttle control) due to bowden cable failure.

Did you find the spacers on the underside of the dash for the right cable? I couldn't figure out why they put them there, so I left them off, only to smash my fingers the next time the steering wheel came around. They're there to lower the right cable handle to provide clearance from the underside of the wheel.
