In Regards to my previous post, The Ford toplink is part of the tractor draft positioning system. The pressure or pull applied to the toplink is used to
control the positioning of the attached equipment. The way the 3 position
toplink was the shaft going into the hyd system was at the bottom. Using
heavy equipment in the top hole would break the toplink fitting. So, they
would have to adjust the toplink to the proper position for the equipment they
were using.
