Does anyone know the chances that Kubota would send me this in the mail?? (I'll pay the shipping cost which is much cheaper then the $40 in gas to drive to my dealer.)
Mine had about 90 hours but the problem started well before that. Most of my hours have been with a box blade and only about 10 or so with a pto attachment. Again, my dealer said the cable was stretching so I guess they put in a non stretching one. I did not take photos before and after so I really don't know about the angle of the brackets. Just that it works okay now.

I've not had any problems with the PTO not disengaging. Best I can tell the cable hookup looks just like the pictures here - the boots seem to be in good condition.
How many hours did those of you who have had this problem have before running into it? I've got about 68 - lots of that is PTO?
mine had 40 hours (june'07) roughly 15 of which were using the PTO with a rotary cutter. haven't used it too much since i got the backhoe though, got almost 90 hours on it now.. love the backhoe..
I just brought home my new Kubota L3400, having .5 hours, as of pulling it off my trailer and dropping it here on my farm on a later Friday afternoon.
The PTO failed BRAND SPANKING NEW. I can not use my shredder as planned this weekend, and I bought this set-up because we are having wildfires here in Texas....
AGGGGH!
94 miles round trip to the dealer in Abilene, Texas. I guess I know where I will be headed on Monday... Sounds like a defective cable right out of the factory.
