Guess I should check this more often.
TDI, this was my first tractor buying experience; I didn't even know about that "halfway bolt" until this year and yes, it was turned down; that's why I never knew it wasn't right. The pedal went down far enough to disengage the clutch until I adjusted it to specs. I've put about 300 hours on it since I bought it 4 years ago from the guys out there on Hammond St Ext; this year little things are starting to crop up.

Warm weather's coming, /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif then I'll ,make time to get things straightened out.

Jstpssng, An old mechanic told me that sticking clutches used to be a common problem, particularly if unused for a period of time. He recommended spraying the plates with kerosene. I've used it successfully on a Farmall A and my old Dodge woods truck, both of which can sit for several months without use. The kero penetrates the rust bond between the clutch plate and the flywheel but doesn't provide enough lubrication to cause slippage.

I am impressed with 3 1/2 hours. The bucket brackets took me a while, but even then it was almost two hours to get apart for me. Then at least an hour of head scratching trying to figure out what the crazy noise is I am looking for. Still haven't figured that out. Sounds like something, maybe a spring, bouncing around in there. When I get the loaner clutch alignment tool I will strip the clutch and see if maybe one of the plate springs wanted a vacation.
