There are several holes for 3P hitch pins on the mixer (At least my have them). You have to put the pins in the holes that are in the same plane as the shaft. That way the length of the PTO shaft will will vary the least.

I have tried several combinations and have gained a couple inches in height but still the PTO joints still start "knocking" when I tip the bucket fully down at a height that would let me use a wheelbarrow. I think this is locked into the design of mixer. If the PTO was a foot higher on the back of the tractor than the angle when the bucket is tilted would not be so acute.

If you have the Mixer80 from Italy, I have seen the same problem. I initially used it on the rear of a Kubota
L2550, then a JD955. The latter tractor is not as tall, so dumping height became an issue that was not present
in the taller Kubota. It pretty much made it so you could not dump into a wheelbarrow with the Deere.

Even with the Kubota (photo), getting the tub to fully empty into a wheelbarrow was not always successful.
That's one of the reasons I converted from PTO drive.

Here's a pic of the mixer type that I have from Italy. As you said it needs a larger tractor with an extra foot or two of PTO height to dump into a wheelbarrow. Thinking of making a short retaining wall on an area of blue rock to mix the compost, fertilizer and soil for my garden. For concrete jobs I'll just have to improvise.

That is exactly the mixer I have. The hitch pins were in the top holes from the factory or dealer and when I dumped it first time it bent the bearing bracket because the PTO shaft bottomed. After I moved the pins to the bottom holes the problem went away. I mount the mixer on a quick hitch. Since it extends the trailing arms to some degree it lifts the mixer several inches higher so I can dump it to wheelbarrow. Needless to say my wheelbarrow (homemade to achieve lower center of gravity) sits way lower than standard hardware store bought wheelbarrow.

Looks very similar to my Mixer80. Even with my height advantage over the 2615, dumping into
a wheelbarrow was not very productive. If I could not dump directly into my forms, I
would sometimes dump onto plywood as close as I could get, then use a shovel.

But I often used zero-slump concrete mixes.

I mixed all the stucco for my house, which is sticky stuff. Getting the last bits out was
not fun.
