PTO DRIVEN LEAF/GRASS VAC

The fan system that the Terra Vac Colt that I posted a picture of has a very clever fan system. We had a demo machine shown to us the other day because we need something to speed up the poo collecting in the horse fields and we were very impressed by it's suction.

Picked up any poo you could put it near, leaves and water from a trough very easily. We are now either considering getting a new one or trying to find one second hand one.

When we get one I am going to have a good look at how it gets such good suction as it seems to work so much better than lots of other poo collectors.

No, my Giant Vac isn't pto driven. Probably not hard to change over to it, but getting the needed speed would be the problem for the impeller to run fast enough. It would require some sort of speed increaser, like is used for a pto generator.
As far as the material being compacted better from a mower p/u, I don't know, but mine pretty much chops/breaks it up into powder sized pieces with just the impeller chewing it up.

David,
I just used my Cyclone Vac this past weekend. Same result as you stated, it pulverizes eveything.
I was mowing into it, which was giving a little reduction, but the vast majority is the impeller fan itself doing to reduction.
I can now say, it does as good a job at reducing as either of two shredders with the flails. Easily 10:1. The pieces of leaves were no larger than 1/4".
