What KW is that one? I thought it looked a lot like a Winco I think I've got a lead on, but it's self contained w/ a Wisconsin TJD for power.

It is a 20 KW, 83 amp, Single Phase.

keep in mind, it os often the amps that is the limiting factor on generators. A lot of people go by watts thinking they have a lot more generator then they do.

Exactly true. Try explaining reactive power , capacitance , lagging or leading power factor to 99% of the population and they will think they are being scammed.
Another reason why consumer grade generators should not be continuously loaded past 75-80%.

Maybe because 99.5% are not electrical engineers?

I understand what both of you are saying, but with the internet a little bit or research goes a long ways.

My neighbor who lives a very different lifestyle then most of us, and thus cannot afford to put in grid based power, has blown up more appliances and water pumps with his portable generator. They just do not provide "clean" power, that being in terms of frequency stability and not environmental regulations.

Myself that is why I think for the money, the pto generators give a person the best overall power for the amount spent. Someday I hope to change mine over so that a used Reefer Trailer diesel engine can power it instead of my tractor/bulldozer.
