PTO is intermittent

My last post was about my MassyFerg 698 linkage not lifting, now the PTO only works when revs are low, then stops and starts randomly. I have cleaned hydraulic filter and replaced the oil. Any clues ? Im in southern Australia and mechanics are thin on the ground. cheers Angus

check all your wiring - want connections clean and tight.

check the battery for proper voltage.

thanks, but the electrics have been broken on this old girl for ages.... its a 1983 model.... I can try to wire it back together, I though old diesels were pretty forgiving ? again many thanks
