PTO Link Easy PTO Adapter

Like kthompson - my M6040 came with a protective sleeve on the PTO stub. Keeps it clean and greased. Patience is the cure for difficult PTO connections.
Agree totally and don't use grease on the telescoping part or the pto shaft. I just use WD-40. If I use grease it doesn't lake long and everything is hard to move from the dust and dirt. WD-40 isn't really enough of a lubricant but none of my shafts are going to wear out in my lifetime.

My trick also!

I spray my PTO coupler and shaft with WD40 and that cleans and flushes both just nicely.
Must be 8-10 years doing that and never an issue.

Oil or grease would simply retain sand and/or grit while WD flushes and leaves a simple protective coating.

Agree with your post totally but saw a youtuber (thing Good Tractor Works) mention the quick connect pto and pointed out it is a help to offset the quick connect hitches many people use. So maybe they would equal out each other. But I don't use a quick connect 3 pth either but really do like my telescoping lift arms.
