My GT 2544 PTO cuts off after about minute of mowing in normal mode. It just cuts off. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif You can put it in the reverse mode and it cuts all day long. It doesn't worry me, but it worries my wife and son. My son and wife didn't know you could cut in reverse mode, because I didn't tell them. But I had to tell them and explain this to them. I didn't think that they should mow in reverse. Could it be the PTO switch. I've checked wires going to PTO and lamps, that doesn't seem to be the problem.
Was purchased in June of this year with about 15-20 hours on it.
Any suggestions

If the problem goes away in REV-TEK mode, I would think it's got something to do with the reverse safety switch. I'd trace from the switch to where the wire runs into the dash. The switch is under the right floor board above the reverse pedal linkage. I believe opening that circuit kills the PTO. I would think if it were a PTO problem, it would do it all the time.

I agree with JT. It sounds like you have a problem with the Reverse Pedal switch. It may be adjusted too sensitive so that the vibration of the reverse pedal is activating the switch. If you can see the switch by looking under the tractor or perhaps with a mirror, you can see if there is a mechanical problem and perhaps bend or adjust it to be less sensitive. I had to remove the deck on my 3235 before I could get a clean shot at the switch.
