Hello all!

I am still enjoying my new 1610D. But some problems came up...

I was using a Post hole digger and had it hooked up to the PTO. After starting to dig with it, something happened, and the PTO stopped working. I disconnected the PTO Shaft from the back of the tractor to the PHD, and tried to engage the PTO and it would not spin when engaged. Once the tractor was off, I tried spinning the PTO by hand to see if it would move and it did move. The next day, I tried to engage the PTO and it was working! I had already dug all the holes by hand so I did not hook it up to anything, but it is now spinning when engaged at the back of the tractor. Any ideas what that could be? Should I try to use it again, or will I make it worse? Thanks Guys!

Is it spinnig with something attached to it (post hole digger) or just the bare shaft sticking out is spinning? If just the shaft- it is probbly just sort of free spinning from the drag of the oil or the 2 broken parts touching. I doubt it would turn if you hooked up your post hole digger.

Does the tractor still move?

I have not yet tried hooking anything up to it, I just noticed it was spinning the next day when engaged. The tractor still moves and the hydraulics work...I will hook something up to it today and see if it will drive the PHD.
