PTO push button won't engage (4110)

The push button for the PTO on our 4110 won't engage. You push it, the red lens lights up, but it doesn't hold/click as it should, it just slides back out. I have tried with the toggle PTO switch in all 3 positions and that doesn't affect it at all. Any thoughts? I can't get a new one until later this week at the earliest, and we're on the verge of getting around a foot of snow so I need the PTO for our snowblower. Anything else I can check? Or is there any way to bypass that switch and trigger it manually somehow (dumb question?)?

Will the PTO operate if you keep the button pressed in?

I don’t know anything about Mahindra tractors, but if the pto button on my MF doesn’t “hold” when I engage it, I’ll increase the throttle a bit (I try to engage the pto at a low throttle position so that it doesn’t slam into action)

This happened to mine a couple times these past few years and I just carefully disassembled the switch and cleaned it up some and reassembled with just a little dielectric silicone grease and it works again for a year or two.

I'll repeat MWaynes question, will the PTO engage with the switch manually held in? If not there is a wire near the hydraulic filter (under the RH side step) you need to check. I have a 3510 and caught it once on some underbrush which shut off the PTO. Its one single wire with a bullet connector.

A bit of a silly question but have you checked that the selector lever under your left foot is engaged? It does happen
