PTO relay not working all the time??? Help

I was on this site awhile back and read that someone had the problem with their blades not engaging all the time. I think it was JTKub, that said it was the relay and to turn your pto switch on and slap the relay to see if it engages. I had it happen today again and slapped the pto relay and the blades engaged. My problem is, I went to my local repair shop and he couldn't find the relay number on his system. Even with the OEM relay in his hand (said he couldn't cross ref. the part???). Could someone help me here? The mower is a LT1050 Model# 13AQ11CP709

I went to an auto parts store and picked up a 12volt mini relay. It worked just fine, and then I washed it last week [cut wet grass] and poof nothing. I used the reverse overide and it worked, I sure hope it dries out.

Thanks strkpr, but she's still under warranty. I would put it in the shop, but they said they'll have it for up to 4 weeks??? I thought, if I could get the OEM part I'd put it in myself to avoid warranty issues and have my mower in days

Four weeks? Did you buy this from the dealer?
